MAKKAH: Kuwait News Agency’s (KUNA) unique and expansive coverage of the 2024 hajj season, in cooperation with Saudi Press Agency (SPA), highlighted the achievement of the media hub initiative. KUNA’s participation in the Hajj Media Forum, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Information, underscored the importance of media in covering the annual fifth pillar of Islam. Furthermore, the hub was successful in its fruitful coverage and accessibility to religious, cultural, and educational sites within Makkah, with the help of the Saudi Ministry of Interior.

Moreover, international media personnel covered the Makkah Road Initiative, concerned with receiving and facilitating entry procedures for pilgrims into Saudi Arabia starting from their arrival at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz Airport.

Meanwhile, KUNA’s media team was given access to a myriad of locations to view and record the sites and scenes of the faithful pilgrims performing religious rituals, as well as to interview numerous officials on the preparation and organization of the recent hajj season.

Kuwaiti hajj delegations were followed by KUNA throughout their stay, underscoring Kuwaiti campaigns, directives, and helpful information for the Kuwaiti pilgrims. In a statement to KUNA, Director of SPA Fahd Al-Aqran praised KUNA’s cooperative efforts and expansive yet detailed coverage of the hajj, which reflected the agency’s professionalism and due diligence in being one of the most important news agencies in the region. — KUNA
