Sheikh Mishal receives Pakistani army chief, delegation

KUWAIT: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Tuesday an invitation from Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to participate in the 44th GCC summit due in Doha on Dec 5. The invitation, incorporated in a letter, was handed over by the Qatari Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Ali bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud to His Highness the Crown Prince during a reception at Bayan Palace. The audience was attended by senior officials from Amiri and Crown Prince Diwans.

HH the Crown Prince received on Tuesday Chief of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Lieutenant-General Syed Asim Munir and Minister for Law and Justice and Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Ahmad Irfan Aslam and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was also attended by Pakistan Ambassador to Kuwait Malik Mohammad Farooq. Lieutenant General Munir and the military delegation accompanying him arrived in the country on Tuesday morning on an official visit to the country that will last several days. The Ministry of Defense said in a press statement that Lieutenant General Munir was received upon his arrival in the country by the Acting Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Engineer Dr Ghazi Al-Shammari and a number of senior army officers. – KUNA
