KUWAIT: Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Major General Abdelhameed Al-Awadhi sent six expats to the public prosecution charged with forgery of official documents and entering the country illegally. Investigations revealed the six were previously deported from the country, five of them for running vice dens, while the sixth for forgery. The suspects confessed to Capital detectives that they got the passports in their country from some people who returned permanently and sold them the passports with valid residency in exchange of KD 600 for each passport.

Theft cases

A Gulf national born in 1977 is being interrogated to find out whether he is connected to theft cases in Jahra. A police patrol noticed the man in his car at dawn Friday morning, and stopped him because the car was stolen. The man attempted to escape, but was arrested following a hot pursuit on foot.
