A vehicle impounded in Jahra for reckless driving.

KUWAIT: Responding to social media videos showing two reckless drivers driving vehicles dangerously in Jahra, police patrols were dispatched to the scene and identified the two vehicles, one of them with a GCC license plate number. Both vehicles were impounded while the drivers were arrested and referred to Taima police station for further investigations.

Two injured in fire

A Kuwaiti couple was injured in a fire in their Mahboula apartment, said security sources, noting that firemen from Mahboula Fire Station rushed to the scene where they managed to control the blaze and rescue the couple, taking them to hospital. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress to find the reason for the blaze.

Kitchen fire

A fire broke in a Wafra farm's kitchen, said security sources, noting that firemen from Wafra brigade rushed to the scene and managed to control the blaze without reporting any casualties.

Contrabands

A citizen with a criminal record was arrested at a checkpoint in Ahmadi with 65 illicit pills, some witchcraft items and three blades. He was taken to the proper authorities for further action.
