KUWAIT: The Drugs Control General Department (DCGD) arrested 204 suspects in drugs cases and recorded 148 cases during March. The Ministry of Interior's (MoI) Relations and Security Information Department said 300 gm of hashish, 1.704 kg heroin, 2.619 kg of ice and shabu, 1,313 illicit tablets, 2 kg of marijuana and 16.593 kg of chemical were seized. DCGD also carried out preemptive actions to prevent the spread of drugs by arresting those who cooperate with drug dealers. The department urged citizens and expats to inform it about drugs dealers and pushers so that their children do not fall victim to this scourge.

Analytical lab

Director General of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) Lt Gen Khalid Rakan Al-Mikrad opened the first analytical lab for testing fire remains to aid investigations, and it is the first of its kind at the KFSD. The event was under the patronage of State Minster for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Information Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. In other news, firemen put out a fire in a Hawally building. The fire was in stored material. No injuries were reported.

Crackdown

The Interior Ministry said Farwaniya security department carried out a campaign on Saturday resulting in arresting 89 violators. The campaign covered Jleeb, Ardiya, Khaitan, Farwaniya and Firdous. The arrestees were sent to concerned authorities.
