KUWAIT: A four-year-old girl who was playing near a curtain in her home lost her life when she was accidently hanged with the curtain's rope, according to preliminary investigations, but police did not rule out the possibility of foul play in the case. The child's family rushed her to the hospital, where doctors attempted to revive her, but to no avail. The medical report said the death was a result of suffocation due to hanging, and there were rope marks on her neck, which raised suspicions. The body was sent to the medical examiner.

Juvenile beaten

A care home inmate complained against supervisors and an official at Dar Al-Khansaa in Salmiya, and it was found the reason behind his beating was because the complainant had a pack of cigarettes with him. An informed source said the inmate, 15, was beaten severely by the supervisors after they learned he had cigarettes.
