KUWAIT: President of Arab and Kuwait Tennis Associations, Honorary President of Asian Tennis Association Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah attended the final match and closing ceremony of the 26th Duty Free Tennis open 2018, at the invitation of UAE Tennis Association President Sheikh Hashar Al-Maktoom. The match was won by Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut who defeated France's Lucas Pouille with the score of 6-3, 6-4.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber lauded the major role this tournament is playing along with Qatar Open in spreading the game in the region over many years by attracting many top tennis stars from around the world.

He also lauded the tournament's organization, particularly the closing ceremony which saw a large number of fans in attendances, and hoped Kuwait will join Dubai and Qatar in a series of tournaments in the coming years when Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah compound is ready.

Sheikh Ahmad lauded the efforts of tournament organizers led by Sheikh Ahmad bin Saeed Al-Maktoom, the head of Dubai Civil Aviation and President of Dubai Duty Free Market Establishment, the tournament sponsor.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber praised the continued success achieved by the 9th Kuwait Tennis Open which started lately at the Kuwait Tennis Association in Yarmouk. He thanked the main sponsor of the tournament Burgan Bank and the permanent supporter over the years Behbehani Group.
