KUWAIT: An expat was placed under observation at Adan hospital after he attempted suicide. Fahaheel Health Center's supervisor told police that a Bangladeshi man arrived with his hands bleeding, and was taken to Adan Hospital. He said doctors confirmed that he slashed his wrists with a shaving blade, causing deep wounds in his right and left wrists. The prosecutor ordered the case to be classified as an attempted suicide. The man will be sent to the Fahaheel police station for further legal procedures after he is released from hospital. Meanwhile, a citizen rushed his teenage daughter to Jahra hospital after she ingested unknown pills in an apparent suicide attempt. The girl, who arrived to the hospital in a coma, was admitted in the intensive care unit. A case was filed for investigations.

Involuntary manslaughter

An Egyptian man fell to his death from a scaffold in the Abdallah Port area, and Ahmadi prosecutor ordered the case to be classified as involuntary manslaughter. The accident took place in a school where construction work is being done. The 60-year-old victim died instantly.

Abdnormal conditions

A traffic violation led police to arresting a citizen in an abnormal condition in the Oyoun district of Al-Jahra. He had an envelope containing drugs and imported liquor bottles he kept in a plastic container. A security source said police saw a car driving between street lines, so the driver was pulled over and found to be in an abnormal condition. He was also charged with failure to carrying his driver's license while driving, before being sent to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).

Drug possession

Two drug users were arrested, one of whom confessed to trading in drugs. Both were sent to DCGD. A security source said, Ahmadi patrols spotted a car with tinted windows, so it was stopped. When the driver was asked to hand over his license, police discovered that he was in an abnormal condition. They also discovered that the man who was sitting on the passenger's seat is wanted to serve a five-year jail sentence. Police also found a box inside the car containing shabu, hashish and pills.

Smuggling foiled

Kuwait International Airport Supervisor Essa bin Essa sent an Asian man to DCGD after catching him with drugs he brought from his country. The suspect had opium, three bags of suspicious powder.

General security police in Farwaniya arrested 43 men and women on prostitution charges.

Brothel busted

Tips were received by Farwaniya Security Director Brigadier Saleh Al-Enezi about an Indian man who ran a brothel in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Three teams were formed and moved at 1:00 am, after sending undercover sources to the place which was crowded by expats. The place was surrounded and 16 women and 27 men, all expats, were arrested. Twelve of the women were reported absconding and 20 men were found to be wanted on various charges. All were sent to concerned authorities. - Al-Anbaa
