KUWAIT: Police arrested a man who was under the influence of drugs before they discovered his involvement in government stamps' forgery. Criminal Investigation Department detectives found drugs and paraphernalia on the Bangladeshi man, before moving to his place where they found two printers, two computers, and a total of 3,978 forged stamps that he admitted to making and preparing for sale. The man was taken to the proper authorities to face charges.

Workers hurt

Two laborers fell unconscious in a building under construction in Khaldiya while using a material to prevent water leakage. Shuhada and technical rescue fire centers responded and rescued the two from the basement where they had collapsed. The high concentration of the material also affected one firefighter and two rescue men, who were taken along with the two workers to the hospital. All were later discharged after their condition stabilized.

Written apology

The Interior Ministry's relations and security information department commented on a video clip circulated on social media and showed a man claiming that his driver had to pay money to a tea boy at the impounding garage to release his car after he was ticketed for obstructing traffic in Qurain. It said that an investigation was carried out, and the person who uploaded the video on social media was summoned. He came without the driver, so he was given time to bring the driver. The driver said he had obstructed traffic and was ticketed. He admitted he later left the garage because it was crowded and did not pay anything. The man who made the video then tendered a written apology.

Defamation

An Egyptian woman accused a Syrian woman of defamation after they exchanged blows in a popular market in Fintas. The Syrian and Egyptian, who work in the cosmetics department, were arguing, then started trading blows, before co-workers broke up the fight. The two then raced to the police station and filed charges. The Egyptian said the Syrian spoke badly about her.

Sexual assault

A security source said a female citizen, who was hysterical, told police that while she was at home, her ex-husband called and asked her to go with him to his house, but she refused. He then threatened to "expose" her in front of her neighbors, so she went to speak with him, but he pulled her in the car and took her to his house, where he raped her. Later in the car, he took her phone and threw it out of the window, and asked her to get out of the car further down the road. Detectives were asked to bring the suspect for questioning. Separately, a citizen told Mina Abdullah police that five persons invited his juvenile son for a picnic, but they took him to a desert area and raped him. Detectives are looking for the five.

Officers assaulted

A citizen told police her ex-husband threatened to harm her, so he was summoned to the police station. As soon as he saw his ex-wife, he insulted her with inappropriate language, and threatened her again in front of officers. An officer pulled him away from her, but he became enraged, slammed him to the floor and bit-off a piece of his cheek. Policemen controlled the man and he was detained to face charges. In a separate case, a reckless driver was showing off in front of the home of a detective, who came out to see what was going on, when he was run over and injured. The driver drove off, leaving the officer in pain until police and paramedics arrived. Detectives were able to identify the suspect.

Drug possession

An Egyptian sat on a pack of hashish in order to hide it from police in Salmiya. Policemen noticed the man was busy with something in a public parking space, and when they approached him, they noticed that he hid something under him. The Egyptian was asked to get out of the car, and noticed the hashish was stuck to his trousers. He said he was cutting the hashish in order to distribute it to customers. Separately, Nuwaiseeb border officers arrested a citizen with suspected hashish, and he was taken to concerned authorities for further action.
