4 warehouses closed

KUWAIT: KFSD yesterday closed down four warehouses in Jabriya and Hawalli for violating KFSD standard safety regulations and condition, said security sources noting that the four warehouses had been previously warned and given chance to remove the violations.

Filipino and a Filipina were recently arrested in Mahboula for smuggling pork meat to sell in Kuwait for KD 9 per kilo.

A Filipino and a Filipina were recently arrested in Mahboula for smuggling pork meat to sell in Kuwait for KD 9 per kilo, said security sources. Case papers indicate that after receiving a tip, detectives stormed the suspects' apartment and found 30 kilos in their possession. A case was filed.

Fake detectives

An unemployed Syrian was recently arrested in Farwaniya and a search is on for another for impersonating as police detectives and robbing Asians, security sources said. Case papers indicate that detectives had received several similar reports from Asians reporting that two people dressed in national outfits had stopped them - pretending to be police detectives and asking to see their IDs. The victims took out their wallets and ran away. The suspect was arrested red-handed while bullying a victim while his accomplice managed to escape arrest. Meanwhile, Hawalli detectives have arrested a bedoon who had been wanted for several car robberies. Security sources said that the suspect was arrested while driving a luxurious vehicle that had been reported stolen.

Liquor traders nabbed

Farwaniya detectives recently arrested three Sri Lankans (a man and two women) with 6 home-made liquor bottles, one imported liquor bottle and six packs of marijuana, said security sources. In another development, two Asians were recently arrested in Hawalli. Plastic bags filled with home-made liquor were found in their possession.

Fighting with swords

Two citizens were recently arrested in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area for fighting and using knives and swords to settle some old scores, said security sources.
