KUWAIT: The Interior Ministry launched inspection campaigns against traffic violations, including driving all-terrain-vehicles (ATV) on public roads, which came following instructions of Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad.

During crackdowns around Kuwait, 53 tickets were issued, 45 ATVs and motorbikes, as well as six cars were impounded, while four teenagers were arrested and referred to the Juveniles Public Prosecution for further action. Meanwhile, six drivers were arrested for reckless driving.

On Thursday, the Interior Ministry announced that 281 tickets were issued and 41 vehicles were impounded during a traffic campaign carried out around Kuwait recently. Meanwhile, one teenager was arrested, while an expatriate driver was deported for driving without a license. In the meantime, one ATV was impounded for violating the law that bans driving ATVs on public roads.
