KUWAIT: Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City is proud to announce the continuous success of its annual golf tournament. The fourth edition took place on Saturday, 6th February, at Sahara Kuwait, a 18-hole championship golf course built to PGA standards. The 27 participating teams of four were composed of Crowne Plaza management officials and their business partners. The tournament kicked off at 7 am with registration, a continental breakfast, and a golf trick show performed by Mark Reynolds. The one-hour show was followed by shotgun start at 10 am. In addition to the tournament’s team prizes, the 108 players competed for individual prizes in the nearest-the-pin and longest-drive contests.

The prizes were awarded right after buffet lunch accompanied by live jazz music. Achieving great scores, the team of Song Mok Cho, Shin Hyuk Choi, Peter Cho, and So Suck Kwon won first place. Members of the second place winner team were Young Soo Son, Nam Gyu Cho, Sei Jin Pyo, and Jong Kuk Choi. Third place was claimed by the team of Ho Suk Seo, Dae Sung Park, Ji Hun Song, and Seong GuJeong. The men’s nearest-the-pin and longest-drive contests were won by Abdulwahab Al Musallam and Abdelaziz Al Sarawi, respectively. The nearest-the-pin and longest-drive contests for women were won by Ji Eon Kim and Myung Ok Cha, respectively.

Ramy Haykal, Area General Manager for Inter Continental Hotels Group, congratulated all participants for showing great sportsmanship and thanked them for a wonderful day at the golf resort.
