620 new coronavirus infections in Kuwait, one death

KUWAIT: The ministry of health announced on Thursday 620 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 70,045 cases. Deaths reached 469 with the addition of one fatality. Official spokesperson of the health ministry Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a press conference that the 620 infections include 423 Kuwaitis and 197 non-Kuwaitis.

Sanad said 127 patients are receiving treatment in intensive care wards. Health authorities conducted 3,599 swab tests in the past 24 hours, raising the total count to 522,200, he added. Earlier, the health ministry announced the recovery of 704 people from COVID-19, bringing the tally to 61,610 recoveries. – KUNA
