KUWAIT: The Public Authority of Manpower said 8,000 expats left the country during the past three months, while 17,000 residency permits were cancelled because their holders are out of the country. Meanwhile, 199 expats transferred their residency from the government to the private sector since the start of January till March 20, 2021, Al-Qabas Arabic daily reported yesterday quoting authority statistics.

In the meantime, 1,048 expats on dependent visas joined the private sector, the figures showed. Statistics showed the authority approved 18,858 university degrees according to the new automated system and more than 181,000 work permits for employees residing in the country. The authority also issued 735 no-objection work permits, besides 459 work visas.
