KUWAIT: Residency affairs detectives busted 23 closed companies which has a total of 97 people registered as employees. Those workers face charges for violation of the residency law because the companies employing them are inactive. Detectives also discovered 12 work visas issued by the companies. The discoveries came during an inspection tour of Farwaniya companies, the relations and security information department at the interior ministry announced.

Jahra campaign

Kuwait Municipality's public relations department said the public cleanliness and road occupancy and violations removal department in Jahra carried out a campaign at Jahra Equestrian Club, resulting in the removal of eight abandoned cars, two commercial vehicles, 40 bags of coal and 30 bags of wood. Meanwhile, a restaurant was administratively closed.

Search for thieves

Forensics officers went to a Mangaf electric station to gather evidence that may help in the arrest of thieves who stole several copper cables. The theft was discovered when a defect took place in power supply in the area.

Reckless driving

Two campaigns in Wafra and Fahd Al-Ahmad resulted in impounding 10 cars for reckless driving, while wasta attempts to release the violators were ignored.
