Otherwise, all candidates' promises and vows will remain mere slogans and nominal because voters now vote either on tribal and sectarian bases or for wealthy candidates, who accordingly to hearsay, are paying as much as KD 3,000 per vote in the third constituency and the price is expected to rise to KD 5,000 as election day approaches.
