KUWAIT: Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Al-Sabah appreciated a Cabinet decision to assign specialized departments to start a national campaign to fight drugs through awareness, prevention and treatment. Rehabilitation centers will be provided with complete privacy, with the presence of national and international experts. The governorate launched an awareness campaign called 'aware', which aims to educate students of different stages throughout the school year.

Sheikh Fawaz met a team that is part of the initiative in Ahmadi educational zone. Team member Nawaf Al-Mutairi expressed his gratitude for the team's appreciation, adding the Ahmadi governor's support is "limitless, along with that of many different sectors in the governorate". "The goals of the initiative and its timeline aims to increase social awareness to develop a generation aware of the dangers of drugs, which have spread to schools and threaten the future of children," Mutairi said.

Member Mohammad Al-Azemi said: "The initiative includes a number of elite lecturers, ranging from lawyers, educators and religious leaders, as well as from the 'Bashaaer Al-Khair' society and the anti-drug department to make students aware in order to reach our goals."
