KUWAIT: A citizen attacked his father with a knife, who only suffered a superficial cut. The suspect was arrested by Ahmadi detectives after escaping from the house located in Fahd Al-Ahmad. A security source said a call came from a citizen claiming his drug addict son pulled a knife at him and attempted to stab him. Detectives located the suspect and arrested him after stiff resistance, and he was taken to the detectives department for interrogation.

Police raid brothel

A brothel in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh was closed down by police. An Indian who ran the place along with eight men and women were arrested and sent to concerned authorities. A security source said tips were received about the Indian running the brothel, so instructions were given to place the brothel under surveillance. They then entered the place and arrested all those in it.

Suspicious bags

Security authorities went on alert after two separate calls about two suspicious bags. Interior Ministry operations received a call from a citizen about a bag near Batla Al-Basman Mosque in Andalus, so explosives experts went to the area and checked the bag but did not find anything. The second call was from Siddeeq about another bag but nothing was found. The callers are being summoned for questioning.

Drug dealers caugt

Drugs Control General Department's (DCGD) Director Col Waleed Al-Duraei sent a British national to the public prosecution charged with bringing in drugs for sale. Duraei received a tip about plans by the Briton to get marijuana in a parcel, so a plan was made to catch him red-handed. A source said that information was received about the expat going to the air cargo department to get the parcel, and when he was on his way home, he was arrested. Meanwhile, a bedoon was arrested as four kilograms of shabu were found in his house. A source said the bedoon was convinced to sell 50 gm to an undercover agent, and was caught with the marked notes.

Drug possession

Rabiya police sent a citizen to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) when they found 120 Captagon tablets and two heroin joints with him. A security source said a police patrol suspected a man in a car, so they asked him for his ID. He seemed scared and nervous, so he was searched and the drugs were found with him. Meanwhile, two citizens were arrested by special forces with 61 tablets on Fahaheel Expressway and were sent to the DCGD.

Bootlegger caught

Criminal detectives arrested a Danish man with 28 imported liquor bottles, trying to sell them in Hawally. Detectives received a tip about the man trading in imported liquor. He was arrested in Shaab with the 28 bottles. He was sent to DCGD. Meanwhile, two Indian men were arrested by Hawally police with 30 bottles of liquor in Salmiya during an sale. A police patrol saw a car in an open area, so they approached it and found two Asians buying and selling liquor. Both were sent to concerned authorities.

Firearm found

Low tide led to the discovery of a firearm and 500 rounds buried at a beach. Interior Ministry operations received a call from an Asian expat who works as a guard at a chalet, saying he found a weapon and rounds buried at the beach. Ahmadi security men rushed to the area and recovered the stash.

Fight

Jahra police broke up a fight between two citizens in a mosque in Qasr, and one of them suffered injuries. A security source said worshippers could not control the fight, so police went to the mosque. Investigations are underway.

Client freed

Hawally police freed a woman detained by the owner of a salon in Salmiya following a dispute between the two. A security source said the citizen called police and asked them to help her out of a problem she got into when she went to a salon. A dispute took place with the owner, who did not let her leave. Police freed the woman, then took both women to the police station, where they exchanged charges.

Officer insulted

A citizen insulted a policeman who stopped him to check his ID in Jahra, so the policeman lodged a complaint at the station. The policeman checked on the suspect and found he is not wanted, so when he let him go, he insulted him with foul words.

Search for thieves

An Iranian man told police two persons robbed him of KD 300. He said the two were in a car, then they entered a steel and aluminum shop and forced him to get in the car with them. One of them tied the Iranian with a plastic cable and searched him. The two then stopped in front of a husseiniya, cut the wire, let him out and escaped.
