mozartKUWAIT: In a cordial atmosphere, a musical reception was held by the US Embassy last Thursday. The Ahmadi Music Group commemorated the famous musician Mozart by playing a preview of the “Don Giovanni Opera in a chamber, which was translated to English. The attendees included a number of local and diplomatic figures.

“The US Embassy is keen on supporting cultural activities that live up to the high artistic taste through the blend of cultural heritage in Europe, America and the Arab world” His Excellency Douglas A Silliman, US Ambassador said. Ahmadi Music Group director, Richard Bushman said they want to be performing opera without audio amplifiers and modern techniques. “In Kuwait, we feel happy when people come to us,” Bushman expressed.

The guests enjoyed the remarkable performance of the opera singers and the piano by Harriet Bushman - who played popular classic songs like ‘I’m So Pretty and Summer Time’. There will be another public performance at Abdulhussain Abdulredha Theatre in Salmiya on the 14th and the 15th of April 2016.
