US Ambassador Silverman attends magnificent ceremony

KUWAIT:  Al Mulla and Behbehani Motor Company (MBMC) - the official distributor of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and MOPAR in Kuwait - celebrated the Jeep's 75th anniversary at Mulla & Behbehani showroom in Al-Rai industrial area. The event took place with the attendance of the ambassador of the United States of America to Kuwait, Lawrence Silverman and other important dignitaries. This magnificent event was part of the Discover America Week held under the aegis of the US Embassy.

Speaking on the occasion, Oscar Rivoli, General Manager at MBMC, said: "Jeep vehicles have defined the authentic SUV and set the benchmark for off-road capability and freedom since they were first produced in 1941. "In honor of the brand's 75th anniversary, we are pleased to introduce eye-catching, special-edition models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler in Kuwait that celebrate the unparalleled history of the legendary of Jeep, these models carry a 75th Anniversary exterior badge to signify the long and varied history of the brand. Special wheels, new exterior paint colors along with refreshed and special interior accents enable the 75th Anniversary models to stand out from the crowd" he added.

Born in 1941, the Jeep brand in 2016 celebrates 75 years of 4x4 leadership, military history and open-air freedom and adventure. As a tribute to this diamond anniversary celebration, Jeep has created distinctive 75th Anniversary special-edition models of each vehicle in its lineup.

US Ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence Silverman expressed his pleasure in taking part in the special event, emphasizing the value and legacy of the Jeep cars in US history, a brand custom made by special request of the US Government during WWII. Ambassador Silverman expressed his appreciation for the deep-rooted, historical US-Kuwait relations, particularly in the area of commerce that witnesses a constant, annual growth.

The launch activities were capped off with a tour of the Al-Rai showroom by the US Ambassador, along with his team and other distinguished guests to review the historical and classical Jeep models that were on display.
