KUWAIT: Kuwaiti Al-Najat charity said in its annual report that it had sponsored around 13,700 orphans from 16 countries around the world. Head of the orphans department within the charity Abdullah Al-Ruwaished, stated to KUNA that Najat society is keen on caring the orphans, especially Syrian refugees, in attempt to alleviate some of their sufferings.

The charity's role is not limited to distributing stipends, explained Al-Ruwaished, but also encompasses constant following up on the orphans' essential needs and psychological and social affairs. This is done in coordination with Ministry of Social Affairs and Societal Development as well as the Foreign Ministry and Kuwait's embassies in the concerned countries. - KUNA
