Alcatel launches A5-LED in Dubai, available in Kuwait on mid-July

DUBAI/KUWAIT: TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited (Alcatel) recently launched newest A5 LED-covered Smartphone in Dubai. The world’s first interactive LED-covered Smartphone, A5 LED delivers on Alcatel’s ‘’ promise with innovations for energetic young consumers. The event was held inside restaurant and bar at Grand Millennium Hotel, frequented by young customers.

‘Read to go higher’
In case you do not know about Alcatel, it is a mobile handset brand started many years ago, in fact, way before the rise of other familiar brands who succeeded in a mobile handset. Now, TCL-Alcatel claimed to have ranked seventh biggest mobile phone vendor in the Middle East and Africa today. “Alcatel is ranked number 4 in Europe, in Latin America, we are number 5. We are ready to go higher. We are doing well in the most competitive market. We want to be recognized and return the glory of yesteryears. We will and that’s our objective,” he said.

A5 LED-covered Smartphone light up notifications with a different light show for important incoming calls, messages, alarms, and social media alerts. “This is unique and first in mobile Smartphone. I am sure everyone will like it but more importantly after having been selected the youth sector, I am sure it will play fair in the market. This segment of consumers is not tapped specifically. The number from this segment could be up to 1.8 billion all over the world so the market is huge,” he said.

He said the price is absolutely competitive if not very cheap for the young users. “Since they have no enough income as yet, we want them to afford the price,” he added. Kuwait will launch the product this week and will be available at KD74.5 “The price is way below the Smartphone of other brands,” he said.
