The Ministry of Culture and the Arts announced Tuesday the discovery of a coin collection of 1,140 pieces dating back to the first centuries AD, at an archaeological site in East of Algeria.

This came in a statement by the ministry saying that these coins date back to the fourth century AD and the Byzantine period (sixth century AD).”This collection was discovered in Mador Archeological site located in East of Algeria during a supervised digging by the ministry and several specialized archeologists,” it added. –KUNA
