KUWAIT: Alghanim Industries, one of the largest private companies in the region, concluded its sponsorship for the 34th annual conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) USA branch, which took place from the 23rd to the 26th of November in Atlanta, Georgia, under the slogan 'The Spirit of Cooperation for a Unified Kuwait.'

The conference was attended by the Ambassador of Kuwait to the United States Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah, as well as a number of parliamentary members and representatives from private and public sector companies. The conference featured forums on a multitude of topics including politics, sports, and humanitarian causes.

Alghanim Industries participated in the career fair, where representatives of the company were present at the company's booth during the fair to answer students' questions about the company, as well as internship and job opportunities available. Towards the end of the conference, Alghanim Industries held a draw as part of the closing ceremony, and presented the winners with valuable gifts from X-cite.

Commenting on Alghanim Industries' sponsorship of this year's NUKS conference, Head of the Corporate Communications Department at Alghanim Industries, Abdullateef Al-Sharikh, said: "At Alghanim Industries, we believe in the critical role that education plays in shaping our youth and preparing them for their futures. We're pleased to have participated in this year's NUKS conference, making this our tenth year of supporting the student union."

He went on to say, "The NUKS Conference is also a great opportunity to meet and interact with potential candidates and tell them about why we chose careers in the private sector, and more specifically, at Alghanim Industries. We wish our students success in their studies and look forward to welcoming them back to Kuwait, and to seeing them as colleagues at Alghanim Industries."

The company has been actively working to increase its Kuwaiti workforce through a variety of initiatives. One example is the Alghanim Future Leaders Program (AFLP), which is a special program to develop the professional skills of talented Kuwaitis who have recently graduated from college. In addition, the Kuwaiti Mentoring Program gives Kuwaiti employees the opportunity to develop their leadership capabilities through the engagement and counsel of the company's senior leaders. Building a strong Kuwait workforce is a strategic priority for the company, and its participation in the NUKS conference is an important part of these efforts.

The sponsorship of the annual NUKS conference in the United States comes as part of Alghanim Industries' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which is committed to empowering the underprivileged, supporting education and encouraging entrepreneurship. It is worth noting that the company was the Strategic Sponsor for the sixth annual Tmkeen Youth Symposium, an initiative that provides youth with valuable insights about entrepreneurship from industry leaders, academics and experts, and was held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The company is also the largest supporter for INJAZ-Kuwait, as it encourages its employees to volunteer regularly in INJAZ's different programs. In addition, the company also launched an English Language and Skills Summer Program in association with AMIDEAST for children at the Children's Home orphanage in Kuwait.
