Amir, Crown Prince receive officials, ambassadors

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah meets with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah. — KUNA

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent yesterday a cable of condolences to President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos in which he expressed his sincere sympathy over the wildfires that claimed lives of scores of people near the capital. His Highness the Amir asked Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy upon the dead and speed up recovery of the wounded and wished the authorities in this friendly country could be able to overcome repercussions of this natural disaster. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables, while National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem sent a cable of condolences to his Greek counterpart Nikos Voutsis.

Separately, His Highness the Amir received His Highness the Crown Prince, Speaker Ghanem, the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the outgoing Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Kuwait Mark Marongwe. The meetings were attended by Acting Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received Ghanem, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Acting Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, as well as Kuwait's Ambassador to Iran Majdi Ahmad Al-Thefiri.

In other news, His Highness the Amir received a congratulatory cable from Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi yesterday over the successful surgery of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir sent President Essebsi a reply cable, thanking him for his kind sentiments, wishing Tunisia and its people peace, security and further development. - KUNA
