KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has telephoned Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, expressing strong condemnation of the two terrorist bombing attacks that happened in the Kingdom on Tuesday.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, in the telephone contact with the Saudi Monarch, denounced in strongest terms the two terrorist explosions; one targeted a security office near Prophet Mohammad Holy Mosque in Madinah and the other happened in Al-Qatif in eastern sector of the country, killing the innocent, terrorizing the citizens and undermining the Kingdom's security.

Such satanic acts where the culprits desecrated sanctity of the houses of Allah, the Holy Month of Ramadan and wasted lives of the innocent, contradict "Our religion Islam and all other heavenly laws and covenants and human race values," His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad stated during his contact with King Salman.

Moreover, His Highness the Amir expressed to King Salman congratulations on forecast advent of Eid Al-Fitr, praying to His Almighty that the happy occasion may recur in the two brotherly countries, in the Arab and Muslim nations.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir for the "generous gesture that embodies the ties between the two brotherly countries." He reciprocated on the Eid good wishes, in addition to wishing Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad life-long good health and further prosperity for the State of Kuwait.

Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem condemned the suicidal attacks on two mosques in Saudi Arabia that claimed a number of servicemen and civilians. An attack occurred outside the Grand Mosque in Madina killing and injuring security forces and civilians, while the other took place near a mosque in Qateef, eastern Saudi Arabia.

Ghanem, in a cable to President of the Saudi Shura Council Abdullah bin Ibrahim, said attacking the holy places was a proof that terrorism was not related to any religion and that terrorists knew nothing about teaching of Islam.

Ghanem, extending condolences for the families of the victims, reaffirmed solidarity of the Kuwaiti people with their Saudi brothers. He said Saudi Arabia was paying the price of confronting terrorism and terrorists, but the Kingdom would be victorious in defeating terror as well as protecting sacred places.

The State of Kuwait had condemned the wave of terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia, as a source from the Ministry of Interior denounced attacks on mosques in the cities of Qateef and Medina, which killed a number of innocent lives. "These heinous attacks are indicative of radical and malicious ideologies," the source noted.

Moreover, the source underscored that Kuwait stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and supports its efforts to uphold security and stability. The statement also conveyed condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for those wounded. - KUNA
