Information minister praises Al-Kharafi, Al-Mesri for their performances

KUWAIT: Kuwaiti jockey Ali Al-Kharafi won the gold medal yesterday at the equestrian jumping event during the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta. Kuwaiti wrestler Hussein Al-Mesri also won bronze in Asian tourney. Al-Mesri won in Kurash wrestling competition (below 90 kg).

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah congratulated yesterday Kuwaiti jockey Ali Al-Kharafi on winning a gold medal at the equestrian jumping event during the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. His Highness the Amir praised the achievement and wished the athlete the best of luck in future competitions.

His Highness the Amir also cabled Kuwaiti wrestler Hussein Al-Mesri, expressing congratulations on winning the bronze medal in Kurash wrestling competition. Amir praised the champion sports accomplishment hoping to see him making further achievements.

His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables.

Meanwhile, Kuwait's Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri congratulated the Kuwaiti jockey Ali Al-Kharafi for winning the gold medal at the equestrian jumping event and Hussein Al-Mesri for winning the bronze during the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Kuwaiti athletes' occupying top ranks in such tournaments is result of the State of Kuwait's care for the youth and furnishing them with all possible measures to express their creativity capacities, the minister added. Kuwait has so far bagged six medals at the Asian Games with three gold, one silver and two bronze. - KUNA
