KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has left the hospital after a successful medical checkup, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said yesterday. His Highness the Amir was admitted to the hospital a day before for a normal medical checkup after contracting a cold, Sheikh Nasser had announced Wednesday.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable to His Highness the Amir, in which he congratulated him on the successful medical checkups. His Highness the Crown Prince also wished His Highness the Amir good health and wellbeing so that he could continue development in the country.

Also yesterday, His Highness the Amir received a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to get reassured about health conditions of His Highness the Amir after undergoing regular medical checkups. His Highness the Amir expressed his thanks, gratitude, and good sentiments which embodied the strong relations between the two nations.

On Wednesday, His Highness the Amir received phone calls from several Arab leaders to get reassured about health conditions. Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud phoned His Highness the Amir to check on his health after the medical checkups.

In his call, the Saudi King wished His Highness the Amir everlasting health and wellbeing. In response, His Highness the Amir thanked King Salman on his good sentiments which embodied the strong relations between the two sisterly Gulf nations. His Highness the Amir, wished King Salman everlasting wellbeing and wished Saudi people more progress and welfare.

His Highness the Amir also received similar phone calls from Egyptian President Abdulfatah Al-Sisi, Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to check on his health. - KUNA
