KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah meets with Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church Aram I. — Amiri Diwan and KUNA photos

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church Aram I at Bayan Palace yesterday. The meeting was attended by Acting Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Khaled Boudai.

Earlier yesterday, His Highness the Amir received His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem and His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Moreover, His Highness Sheikh Sabah received Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received His Highness Sheikh Nasser, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. His Highness also received Chairman of the Board of the Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology Salem Al-Uthaina.

In other news, His Highness the Amir strongly condemned, in a cable he sent Tuesday to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the terrorist attack that killed a soldier in Al-Mansoura neighborhood in Al-Qatif, and injured five others.

In his cable, His Highness the Amir affirmed on Kuwait's full support to the kingdom in taking all the necessary measures to ensure safety and stability to the nation. His Highness the Amir also expressed speedy recovery to those injured in the attack. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables to the Saudi leadership. Meanwhile, Ghanem sent a similar cable to Saudi Shura Council's Chair Dr Abdullah Al-Sheikh.

A Saudi soldier was killed and five members of the security services were wounded in an RPG attack in Saudi Arabia's Al-Qatif province, the Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement. The attack by 'terrorists' targeted a security patrol unit in Al-Mansoura neighborhood in Al-Qatif Province. - KUNA
