KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday sent a cable of condolences to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud over the 'martyrdom' of a Saudi security man and injury of six others in a terrorist attack in Al-Qatif in Saudi Arabia. In the cable, His Highness the Amir voiced Kuwait's sharp condemnation of this heinous terrorist attack that targeted innocents and aimed at disrupting security and stability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Highness the Amir expressed sympathy with the Kingdom, and supported all measures taken by Saudi authorities to fight terrorism and safeguard the Kingdom's security and stability. His Highness the Amir also reiterated Kuwait's rejection of terrorism in all its manifestations and forms, wishing speedy recovery of the injured and security of the kingdom and its people.

Two other cables of condolences were sent by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. in the meantime, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem sent a cable of condolences to the Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council (Consultative Assembly) Dr Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Sheikh. Earlier on Thursday, the Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior announced the 'martyrdom' of a security man and injury of six others when a patrol was attacked in a district in Al-Qatif province, east of the country.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi over the victims of a terrorist attack in Rafah City in North Sinai. In the cable, His Highness the Amir voiced Kuwait's sharp condemnation of this heinous terrorist attack that targeted innocents and aimed at disrupting security and stability in Egypt. His Highness the Amir also reiterated Kuwait's rejection of terrorism in all its manifestations and forms, wishing speedy recovery of the injured and security of Egypt and its people. Two other cables of condolences were sent by His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister, while Ghanem sent a cable of condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Ali Abdelal.

Also, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Friday vehemently condemned the terrorist attacks in Al-Qatif in Saudi Arabia and in Egypt's North Sinai. An official source at the ministry said in a statement that Kuwait stands side by side with Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and supports all measures they are taking in order to uphold their security and stability.

The source reiterated Kuwait's firm position based on rejecting violence and terrorism, emphasizing that concerted international efforts should be exerted in order to fight terrorism that targets humanity and world security and stability.
