KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah receives a copy of the Public Authority for Youth’s strategy in Braille text. — Amiri Diwan and KUNA photosKUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was given yesterday a copy of the Public Authority for Youth's (PAY) strategy in Braille text. After receiving Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, PAY Director General Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Hanan Al-Mutairi, His Highness the Amir praised the remarkable work as an effort to cater to the needs of the blind. Moreover, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.
In a statement, Hanan Al-Mutairi noted that she was honored to have met His Highness the Amir, adding that PAY's plan was issued in Braille text in order to give the blind a chance to get acquainted with PAY's goals and objectives. She also underscored that she was looking forward to be an "integral part" of PAY's projects "as active members of society."
PAY officials later presented similar copies of the strategy to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. His Highness the Crown Prince heaped praise on Mutairi for her admirable efforts to help facilitate the reading process for the blind, wishing her continued success.
Earlier yesterday, His Highness the Amir received His Highness the Crown Prince, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem, His Highness the Premier, as well as First Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince met with Ghanem, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Anas Al-Saleh and Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
In other news, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences on Sunday to Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa over the passing away of former president Mario Soares. His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister and Speaker Ghanem sent similar cables. - KUNA
