KUWAIT: His
Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah returned home
yesterday after undergoing medical tests in the United States, according to the
official KUNA news agency. He was received by His Highness the Crown Prince
Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq
Al-Ghanim, the President of the National Guard His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali
Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad
Al-Sabah, President of the Court of the Cassation and President of the
Constitutional Court Consultant Yosif Al-Mutawa' and senior state officials.

During his trip,
His Highness the Amir was accompanied by Deputy President of the National Guard
Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Jaber Mubarak
Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and President of protocols and honorary missions Sheikh
Khaled Abdullah Al-Sabah.

His Highness was
admitted in a hospital in the US just days before he was scheduled to meet US
President Donald Trump on September 12. As a result, the meeting was postponed
until a new date that is expected to be announced later, the Kuwaiti agency
reported at the time. His Highness the Amir has returned home "after completing
medical examinations successfully and positively," KUNA said yesterday.

On August 18, the
agency cited a palace statement saying that the Amir had "recovered from a
setback and is in good health now", without elaborating. Prior to the KUNA
report in August, there had been no word on the Amir's health in official media
or Kuwait newspapers.

Meanwhile, His
Highness the Amir expressed his deepest thanks to the people of Kuwait and
expatriates for their sincere feelings, delight, and happiness they showed upon
his arrival to his homeland after the successful medical checkups. He expressed
deep appreciation to the people of Kuwait for their concern and follow up on
his condition throughout his trip, which reflected on Kuwait's unity and
distinguished moral.

He also thanked
leaders of Arab nations and other friendly countries for their constant check
up on his health, sentiments, and genuine wishes they offered. His Highness
prayed to Allah Almighty to perpetuate the blessings of security, safety and prosperity
to our beloved country and guide its people to serve it at all times. -
