MANAMA: Envoy of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah conveyed yesterday his condolences to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the passing of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Kuwait's Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Thamer Al-Sabah on Friday mourned the passing of the Gulf state's Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. Speaking to reporters, the Kuwaiti envoy extended his deepest condolences to the Bahraini people over this immense loss, saying the late official, who was the world's longest-serving prime minister, has always been fond of Kuwait.

The late Bahraini prime minister's legacy and accomplishments "will forever live in our hearts," added the diplomat. Prince Khalifa passed away early on Wednesday at Mayo Clinic hospital in the United States. - KUNA
