Amnesty to jailed police officers ahead of Ramadan

KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) pardoned yesterday members of the police force imprisoned for minor offenses, in a gesture of goodwill to mark the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al- Sabah has commuted the sentences of the officers, thereby, giving them an early release just around the start of the holy month, MoI noted in a statement. — KUNA
