Apple, Google at Chinese fest shows lure of market

KUWAIT: The Department of Physiotherapy-Women at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital held the first international poster day in the women’s building, titled “Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation”. The event witnessed participation from various physiotherapy specialists for children, women, the elderly and adults, with the aim of raising health awareness.

Head of Medical Staff at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, and Head of the Council of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Departments Dr Jamal Mohammed, thanked colleagues at the physiotherapy departments for their invitation. He praised the participants for their “amazing performance.”

“Everything we have seen here is in the interest of our patients, and is in their service. It contributes to our efforts in enhancing services at the departments of physical medicine and physiotherapy departments,” he said. The posters related tackled topics such as men’s health, and how physiotherapy intervention could help children with obesity.

Head of the Department of Physiotherapy Rijal Mustafa Abu Abbas said that the posters had wonderful and creative ideas. “In fact, each poster is worthy of being a project on its own, especially regarding the care of the elderly, in women’s health and men’s health, as well as for children,” said Abu Abbas.

Nafisa Kamal, head of the Department of Physiotherapy, thanked the head of the department and all the participants from Al-Razi Hospital and Al-Adan Hospital for providing the scientific material. She said she hoped the international poster day will continue for many years to come.
