KUWAIT: The Arab Badminton Championship competitions continue on Thursday at Kuwait Olympic Committee courts in Jaber Al-Ahmad area. 120 players of both genders are participating in the age groups of 15, 17, 19 years - representing 12 countries - Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt and Algeria.

Executive committee of the Arab Federation approved the admission of Qatar to the Arab Federation to become member number 19, beside Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, Egypt, Mauritania, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Tunis, Morocco, Libya and Djibouti.

Assistant Secretary General at KOC, Chairman of Kuwait Federation Ali Al-Merri welcomed the Arab participants to the 'land of friendship and peace' to participate in the Arab Championship. He said Kuwait has become a destination for badminton as it hosted the West Asia Badminton Championship few days earlier.
