Cairo: Kuwait will host the 16th regular session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers' meeting on March 15, the Arab League announced.

"These meetings create the opportunity to continue the discussion on the most effective mechanisms for activating media action plan and updating the joint Arab media strategy to combat terrorism," said the League's Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication Affairs Ahmad Khattabi in a statement Monday.

The items on the meeting's agenda include topics of combating terrorism, extremism, e-media and dealing with major international firms that operate in the digital field, Khattabi explained.

The Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers includes Kuwait, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, The Comoros Islands, and Lebanon, Yemen as well as organizations and unions practicing media tasks under the umbrella of the Arab League.
