KUWAIT: The Arabian red fox, locally known as 'Al-Hesni', is common in the open desert of Kuwait, living in small groups and seeking refuge from the merciless sun by digging deep holes in the ground. The animal -- feeding on mice, gerbils, small rabbits and birds' eggs -- is facing a bit of a struggle due to illegal hunting, which threatens its existence. - KUNA
