KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) is introducing a new edition of the NBK Run this year with a group of strategic partners united to encourage the community to embrace social responsibility, promote a healthy lifestyle, and work together to support those most in need.
NBK has strengthened its strategic partnerships, with Al Babtain Group continuing its annual support by offering the grand prize for the race for the 15th year. This year, participants will have the chance to win a 2024 Nissan X-Trail. Simply registering for the race qualifies them for the raffle. Ooredoo is once again present, supporting both race winners and attendees, offering iPhones, Apple Watches, and subscriptions for top winners. In the final raffle, participants will also have the opportunity to win Ooredoo’s Platinum Line worth KD 5,000.
NBK will award the top 3 winners (women and men) in the 10 km race with KD 1,000, KD 700, KD 500 cash prizes. The top 3 winners (women and men) in the 5 km race will win KD 500, KD 400, KD 300 cash prizes.
This year, NBK, in collaboration with Equate Petrochemical Company, is launching the Paralympic category, including three groups of athletes with disabilities: wheelchair users, the blind, and those with prosthetics. Equate will sponsor this category by providing cash prizes for the top five men and women in the 5km race, with prizes of KD 500, 400, 300, 200, and 100 respectively.

Touristic Enterprises Company will offer 18,000 entry tickets to their facilities, including Kuwait Winter Wonderland and South Subahiya Park, to all registered participants of the NBK Run. Additionally, Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa (AAW) will provide prizes for the raffle through their brands “Intersport” and “Joe & The Juice.” Chips Store will also award two winners with Apple devices.
These prizes, offered by the strategic partners, will be part of the final ceremony raffle, all supervised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, alongside other surprises and entertaining activities. On this occasion, Talal Al Turki, Executive Manager, Head of Public Relations and Event Management at NBK, stated that the race aims to encourage the community to engage in social responsibility.
“At NBK, we see this race not only as a motivator for healthy practices to improve individuals’ quality of life but also as an opportunity to push forward in building a socially responsible community that supports those who need it the most,” he said.
Al Turki thanked the strategic partners for joining this year’s NBK Run, emphasizing the importance of this prestigious and successful event, and recognizing their role in supporting the community. He also expressed gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the race, from the working teams to the sponsors, especially the government institutions supporting NBK in raising awareness about the importance of sports in enhancing public health.
The race will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, and registration is still open for those interested until the limit is reached, via Suffix website. Race kits can be collected from December 12 to December 13, between 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm, near Kuwait Towers.
The race for both the female and male participants will start at 8:30 am with two distances beginning and ending at Kuwait Towers. The starting point of 10 km, heads toward Souq Sharq before turning and continuing along the Gulf Road to 200 meters before the Green Island intersection, then looping back to Kuwait Towers and the starting point of 5 km, will follow a similar route, reaching the Army Officers’ Club before heading back.
