KUWAIT: A delegation from the Public Affairs Department at United States Army in Kuwait (ASG- KU), represented by Claudia LaMantia and First Lieutenant Austin May, visited Kuwait Times and Kuwait News offices on Tuesday to learn more about the first daily English newspaper in the Arabian Gulf.

The delegation was received by Kuwait Times IT Director Islam Al-Sharaa and Head of Business Department Majd Othman, who accompanied the delegation on a tour of the newspaper’s departments and explained the history of the newspaper, which was first published 61 years ago.

KUWAIT: Kuwait Times team shows the delegation a special copy of Kuwait Times newspaper that was published on its 61st anniversary.

They discussed the period during the invasion of Kuwait in 1990 and how the newspaper managed to restart publishing after a year. The delegation had the opportunity to get an insight into the workings of a Kuwaiti newspaper, as well as the process of publishing copies of Kuwait Times daily.
