Assembly discusses final statements of accounts

KUWAIT: The National Assembly is set to hold a session today to discuss legislation pertinent to the final statements of accounts of a number of government bodies. Today's session will tackle the budgets of eight governmental entities, in addition to a report by a youth and sports parliamentary committee, which suggests some amendments to law number 42/1978 that deals with sports authorities, said a statement by rapporteur of parliament's priority committee Ahmad Lari on Thursday.

Moreover, involved government bodies include the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), Kuwait University (KU), Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), Kuwait Fire Service Directorate and Environment Public Authority (EPA), amongst other government institutions. Similarly, tomorrow's parliamentary session has also been allocated to discuss the budgets of nine additional government bodies, as well as reports issued by a cultural and educational parliamentary committee. - KUNA
