KUWAIT: On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Ahli United Bank (AUB) was keen to bring joy and pleasure to the children of social care homes and provide them with psychological and moral support by presenting them vouchers, and accompanying them on a trip to a store to buy their favorite toys.

Commenting on this new initiative, Sahar Dashti, General Manager of Customers' Protection and Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Team at Ahli United Bank, said in press release that AUB has allocated financial support in order to provide gift vouchers for children of care homes so that they can buy their favorite toys by themselves, pointing out that AUB participates in all religious and national ceremonies within the community's framework to bring pleasure and joy and spread positive spirit in them.

Dashti said that Eid Al-Fitr is a special ceremony full of happiness, social interaction, family ties, bringing happiness to children and visiting where a team from AUB accompanied a number of the children of care homes to a store to buy the toys of their choice and shared with them the joy of Eid to make them feel that there is someone who cares about their affairs, and is keen to present gifts to them.

Dashti said that AUB is always keen to develop the values of giving, interaction and presenting gifts on occasions in observance of the Hadith of the Prophet Mohammad, peace and blessings be upon him, "Giving gifts to each other is a declaration of your love for each other," adding that this creates an atmosphere of solidarity among people, and revitalizes social relations among the members of the nation. It is noteworthy that this initiative is a key pillar of CSR program at AUB which is keen to present a distinct concept for meaningful community and humanitarian initiatives.
