The Association of Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Kuwait University organized a musical concert of the popular singer Balqees on Saturday at the Raya Ballroom. Only female faculty students were invited to attend the concert which was organized by Mishari Al-Tararwa. Around 400 female students of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences were in attendance and the show began at 8:45 pm.


Balqees has become popular in the last few years. She is the daughter of the popular Yemeni singer Ahmad Fathi, and currently lives in the United Arab Emirates. She released three albums since 2012, and she has also released around 50 single songs in the past eight years. She has received many awards including the 'Best Female Arab Gulf Singer' from Murex D'or.


At this concert, Balqees was warmly welcomed by the students who were very excited to see her and were singing along with her. She said she would like to visit them at the university. Besides her own songs, she also presented a popular song of the famous Lebanese singer Fayrous, a song of the Kuwait singer Nabeel Suail, a song of the Emirati singer Husein Al-Jasmi, a song of the Bahraini singer Ahmad Al-Jumeiri, and a song from her father. Balqees concluded her performance at 11:00pm with a song about Kuwait.
