KUWAIT: The basic course for preparing special Olympics swimming coaches was concluded at Abdullah Al-Salem leadership center. The course was organized by Kuwait Olympics in cooperation with special Olympics MENA in preparation for participation in the 16th special Olympics World Games which will be held in Germany in 2023. 30 participants attended the course which lasted for 5 days.

International special Olympics swimming lecturer Amro Al-Tahawi (from Egypt) along with Mustafa Hassouna and Riyadh Al-Otaibi lectured during the program. National Director of Kuwait special Olympics, Chairwoman of Tomooh Club Rehab Buresli lauded the commitment of the coaches and hoped that the course will create a new addition to the development of swimming sport in Kuwait.

She said, such studies are highly important as it injects new blood in the training, refereeing and administrative system of the special Olympics. Buresli thanked the special Olympics MENA, Egypt special Olympics, Public Authority for Sport and Abdalah Al-Salem leadership.
