KUWAIT: Residency Affairs Department detectives ended the activities of 15 bogus companies in various areas of Kuwait. A security source said Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passport Affairs Major General Mazen Al-Jarrah asked detectives to launch a campaign against bogus and violating companies. Inspection campaigns took place in malls, and were able to uncover 15 bogus companies which were shut down.

Body found

Criminal evidence men recovered a citizen's body after the man was found dead in the back seat of his car. The discovery was made recently in Bayan. The body was sent for an autopsy to reveal the causes of death.

Search for thief

A Thief snatched a woman's purse in Salmiya's old market and escaped on foot. The woman told police that while she was shopping, a man snatched her purse which contained money, a mobile phone, civil IDs, and ATM cars. She filed a case at the local police station. Detectives are looking for the culprit.

Physical assault

A female citizen accused four persons, including two women of severely beating her because of earlier disputes. A security source said a 24-year-old citizen came to Mubarak Al-Kabeer police station with a medical report, and told officers there that she ran into a citizen, bedoon and two female citizens with whom she had earlier disputes, so they attacked and beat her, before escaping. Investigations are ongoing.

Neighbors row

A Maidan Hawally resident beat up his neighbor after he came over to his apartment and complained about loud music. According to a security source, a Kuwaiti man headed to the apartment next door and asked the tenant to lower the volume of the music played. The tenant, a Kuwaiti man as well, became angry and beat the complainant after he threatened to call police, the source said. The alleged attacker was summoned by police, but denied the accusations. A case was filed for further investigations. - Al-Rai
