Kuwait: The Zain Alshuhoor volunteer team has visited pediatric wards at the Zain Otolaryngology Specialized Hospital and Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital to celebrate the local Ramadan tradition of Girgeaan (candy distribution) with children, their families, and medical staff. The initiative reflected the deeply rooted spirit of giving during the Holy Month.

The visits came in collaboration with the Ministry of Health under the Zain Alshuhoor Ramadan campaign, where the company extends its support with various partners from the public and private sectors to share the blessings of Ramadan with the entire community.

Members of the Zain Alshuhoor volunteer team, comprising Zain employees from various divisions and departments, actively participated in the initiative, embodying the Zain family's dedication to fostering positive social impact. The team visited pediatric wards at both the Zain Otolaryngology Specialized Hospital and Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital, where they were accompanied by Dr. Waleed Al Busairi, Director of Mubarak Al Kabeer Health District.

During these visits, the team distributed Girgeaan candy, gifts, and toys to the children, greatly uplifting not only the spirits of the young patients but also those of their families and the medical staff present.

Zain Alshuhoor is one of Kuwait’s biggest and most successful community programs during the Holy Month. The campaign features a wide range of humanitarian, charitable, social, religious, health, and sports programs that continue throughout Ramadan. Every year, the company introduces a bigger, renewed version of the campaign that expands upon the previous year’s initiatives and programs.

The Zain Otolaryngology Specialized Hospital, established by Zain, features state of the art medical equipment and facilities, and specializes in ear, nose, and throat cases. The hospital serves over 37,000 patients every year, with over 4500 operations conducted annually. Zain volunteers visit the hospital during special occasions like national holidays, the Holy Month of Ramadan, and Eid.
