KUWAIT: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) announced on Tuesday the availability of new Kuwaiti dinar banknotes in select ATMs across major shopping malls, in response to the increased demand for various denominations ahead of Eid Al-Fitr. In a press statement, CBK confirmed that automated teller machines (ATMs) at The Avenues, 360 Mall, Al-Kout Mall and Capital Mall will be stocked with the new banknotes starting Wednesday and will remain operational until the first day of Eid.

The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Kuwait Banking Association, the Automated Banking Services Company (KNET) and participating malls, aims to facilitate public access to fresh banknotes — particularly smaller denominations that are not always available in standard ATMs. The service has been well received in previous years for its convenience. Additionally, CBK noted that local banks have been supplied with new banknotes to ensure their availability across 308 bank branches and 101 ATMs nationwide. — KUNA
