KUWAIT: Inauguration of the Industries and Construction Exhibition

KUWAIT: Deputy Chairman and CEO of the National Industries Company Dr Adel Al-Subaih confirmed that the building and construction sector is one of the most vital sectors that contribute to realizing the vision of "New Kuwait 2035", since the urban revival is a manifestation of evolution and progress in general.

This is included in a press statement by Dr Al-Subaih during yesterday's opening of the events of the 8th round of the Industries and Construction Exhibition, which was held under the patronage and in the presence of Anas Al-Saleh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for the Council of Ministers Affairs, organized by Expo-Tag for Exhibitions and Conferences, in collaboration with the National Industries Company, at the Jumeirah Hotel, Kuwait. Its events will continue until today with the participation of a wide range of government bodies and companies specialized in the construction and building sector, in addition to the presence of many businessmen and traders working in this field.


Al-Subaih said that working towards achieving the vision of "New Kuwait 2035" requires the spirit of work and initiative to overcome all difficulties and obstacles to establish a solid economic base in the country to turn through which into a regional and international financial and commercial center,.


He added that the "Industries and Construction Exhibition" has become one of the important annual economic events in the country which contribute to supporting this vital sector. Over the past years, the exhibition has gained the confidence of all sponsors and participants of the public and private sectors for keeping up with the latest developments of the construction and building tools industry in the world, and for displaying the best and finest finishing and decoration products, which match the taste of the Kuwaiti citizen and meet his needs.


In turn, Dalia Wafae, Executive Director of Expo-Taj for Exhibitions and Conferences, said that the 8th round of the Industries and Construction Exhibition, just like the previous rounds, has enjoyed many sponsors and participants from more than 70 companies involved in the building, construction, decoration and furniture field, in addition to many government bodies related to the sector, and most notably the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, the Ministry of Public Works and the Kuwait Credit Bank.


Wafae added that the exhibition will allow Kuwaiti citizens, especially the beneficiaries of the housing welfare program, to get all they need in this field.
She explained that the exhibition, through bringing together the most prominent specialists in the field of building and construction of both sectors under one roof, aims at achieving a number of objectives, the most important of which is the competition of the Kuwaiti product with the rest of the international products, and allowing the opportunity for traders to seize suitable investment opportunities in addition to the presence of producers and importers of building materials and products, as well as, the applications that contribute to achieving energy saving, in line with the country's economic reform plans.


She pointed out that this year, the exhibition is held on an area of more than 2000 square meters. The media campaign accompanying the exhibition also includes advertisements in local newspapers and on buses, and radio ads, as well as the interest in the campaigns of the social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., and inviting all youth associations and colleges specialized in the field of engineering and electricity in Kuwait.


We welcome the workshops, which include one of the Kuwaiti youth teams "Tashtibati", Kuwaiti United Private Training Company, and Rehlat Baqaa Group, to introduce the developments of workshops. This is the least we can provide to support young people to undertake the leadership at the earliest possible opportunity for achieving the advancement of Kuwait through them.
