KUWAIT: The Cabinet called on the public to adhere to health measures, especially with the start the fourth phase of the plan to return to normal life yesterday. The Cabinet made this appeal during its weekly meeting on Monday, during which Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah updated ministers on the public health situation and the latest developments related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including the figures of recoveries, infections and deaths.

At the onset of the virtual meeting, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah briefed Cabinet members on the stable health condition of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, saying that it is improving, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh said after the meeting.

Furthermore, the Cabinet discussed recommendation of the Public Services' Committee regarding the periodic report submitted by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare on the progress of work in light of the executive plan and the timetable for operating public services for the cities of Sabah Al-Ahmad and Al-Khairan residential cities. It also reviewed recommendation of the Education, Health and Youth Committee on reports of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development regarding the follow-up to the construction plan of the Sabah Al-Salem University City project in Al-Shadadiya area.



The Cabinet discussed the conclusion of the Finance Minister Barak Al-Sheitan grilling motion session, submitted by MP Riyadh Al-Adasani, held on August 12, 2020. The Minister of Finance expressed appreciation for ministers and MPs for their confidence, which will be a great motive to serve the country and its citizens.

On the other hand, the Cabinet listened to a detailed explanation from Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh on the merits of the grilling motion submitted by MP Shuaib Al-Muwaizri, which was debated during the National Assembly's session yesterday. The Cabinet expressed its confidence in the Minister and his ability to clarify and refute the motion's contentions. Furthermore, it also discussed the grilling motion submitted by MPs Dr Ouda Al-Ruwaie and Dr Khalil Abul against the Minister of Education. - KUNA
