KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality’s official spokesman Nadia Al-Sharaida denied social media rumors which claimed that camp licenses for non-Kuwaitis were suspended. She said licenses are still being issued for Kuwaitis and others, insisting that the rumors were false.

Sharaida said that the municipality, out of keenness on implementing the circular (24/2015), has taken several measures to prevent renting camps to others, including the cancellation of data amendments, and issuing the license to the person concerned only.

She explained that some non-Kuwaitis bring several Civil IDs to get licenses, though only the person concerned will get the license after making sure that he will not rent it to others.
